Students have a great opportunity to learn in the CAL Community School District featuring K-12 education and extracurricular activities. 

Latimer's medical clinic is affiliated with the Mercy Health Network of North Iowa  and our first-responder team is top notch.

Latimer and the surrounding communities offer multiple options for those who wish to exercise their spiritual side.  Within Latimer you will find the Immanuel United Church of Christ 641-579-6443 and St. Paul Missouri Synod Lutheran Church 641-579-6280. St. Paul's also offers the only parochial grade school in Franklin County.

Camping, Fishing & Parks
Latimer residents head to Beeds' Lake for camping, fishing and boating.  A full-service campground (yes, including restrooms and showers) attract visitors from all over.  Pan fish are plentiful and kids really enjoy the pedal boats.

You can enjoy a round of golf at our 9-hole short course and follow up with a beverage and meal in the club house.  Join the men's league or women's league and new members are always welcome.  Not a member? Not a problem.  You can buy a round or two of golf also.
